Breakfast-Breaking the fast !

Many of us would have been in fasting during pooja days or for some rituals. But know how many of us know that we fast daily. Yeah, you heard it right. Everyone one of us fast daily while we are in sleep and we break it when we have our first meal of the day. And we call it as "breakfast". 

We are going to have a glance of different types of breakfast.

1. Continental breakfast

A style of breakfast enjoyed in European culture. It is a light morning meal that consisting of 
  • Fruits
  • Baked goods
  • Coffee
  • Tea
  • Bread
  • Juice
It is usually served in Buffet-style and focus on foods that can be simple and stocked.

Restaurants usually prefer this style of breakfast for free of cost during the stay.


 
2. English breakfast

The full English. The full monty. A fry up. Call it whatever you want. 

The term "full" means the breakfast is full of different foods.

This breakfast begins with 

  • Cereals
  • Fruits
  • Juice
  • Sausages
  • Eggs
  • Grilled tomato
  • Mushroom
  • Fried onions

English breakfast is served in UK and Ireland.



3. American breakfast

American breakfast is similar to English breakfast.

Except that it does not include any fish dish in their breakfast.


4. Regional breakfast

Regional breakfast includes south Indian, North Indian, Japanese and more.

Examples of South Indian foods include
  • Idli
  • Dosa
  • Poori 
  • Pongal
  • Aapam
  • Puttu
  • Upma


Whatever the kind of breakfast, don't skip it. As you already know, 'breakfast breaks the fast'.
